Since its formation, it has shifted from being primarily wholesale-focused to a retail-led institution, serving a wide range of customers through its branch and ATM network. As of December 2025, the retail and MSME portfolios make up 80% of the bank's total loan book. By March 2026, IDFC FIRST Bank operated 1,147 branches and 1,041 ATMs across India.
